The second transnational meeting within the project “INThROugh – power of cross-sectoral synergy between education and sport” was held in Varaždin,Croatia, from 21st to 23rd of October, 2021. The meeting was attended by representatives of 6 partner organizations and sports clubs within the project (CSO LIbero, CSO Interkultura, CSO EduNorth, Football Club Viner, Volleyball club Kitro and Basketball club Cerak) , coming from Serbia, Croatia and North Macedonia.


This transnational meeting was dedicated to the skills building of the grassroot sport clubs and organizations to use non formal education in their work. The participants had a chance to get introduced and work together on expanding knowledge on the basics of experiential learning, non formal learning cycles, intercultural dialogue and peacebuilding through sports, as well as on implementing thematic youth exchanges in the sports sector. After getting introduced to the NFE principles and learning points, the participants of the meeting proceeded to the development of methodologies for sport clubs and organizations to use NFE in grassroot sport. These newly developed methodologies will be piloted in the daily work of 3 sport clubs within the project Consortium, with mentoring and support of the 3 civil society organizations. The outcomes of the methodologies piloting will be presented in a report and analysed in order to further improve these methodologies in the coming months.
