In the previous month, CSO Libero has conducted three focus groups on the topic of youth employment during education. Focus groups were held in Belgrade, Kragujevac and Novi Sad as a part of a broader survey of the opportunities of young people who would like to work while studying. Focus group participants were students of different generations and from different faculties. They shared with us their views and experience regarding the attitude of employers towards young people, the legal regulations related to youth employment and the way youth cooperatives work in Serbia.

The conclusions from the focus groups as well as the results of the entire research will be important for determining priorities in our further work. Based on the obtained results, Libero will prepare proposals for policy changes that would contribute to improving the position of young people in the labor market.

The focus groups and the entire research were conducted within the project “Empowering Young People’s Access to Work” with the support of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom.
