Libero took part at the first strategy development event of Regional Youth Cooperation Office entitled “Strategic Dialogues – a Better Region Starts with Youth”, which was held in Skopje, Macedonia, from 20th to 22nd of March 2018. Representatives of international institutions, regional governments, schools and civil society organization from 6 Balkan countries, among who was representative of our organization, gathered together at this event where they drafted a basic framework of RYCO work programme for the period of 2018 to 2020. This document will be sent to further discussions in each country represented in the RYCO, after which final version will be finished – creating a first work programme of RYCO. During three days of the event, Libero actively contributed with its ideas and experience in youth work in Serbia and region, as well as with bringing good practices in the field of reconciliation from its European experience. The event was supported by the Agency for Youth and Sports of the Republic of Macedonia, who brought Prime minister of Republic of Macedonia and number of parliamentarians from this country to engage with the rest of participants into a discussion on future of youth cooperation among 6 countries.
Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO) is an independently functioning institutional mechanism, founded by the Western Balkans 6 participants (WB 6): Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo*, Montenegro, Macedonia and Serbia, aiming to promote the spirit of reconciliation and cooperation between the youth in the region through youth exchange programs.
