The third European Living Library was organized in Skopje, North Macedonia, from June 8 to 11, 2022. It involved close to 100 direct participants from the project partner countries who were prepared to support the implementation of the event and serve as engaging living books for the citizens of Skopje. The part of the event that was open to the public was held in front of the National and University Library “St. Kliment of Ohrid”, where a large number of people took part in the “reading” of our living books. This experience gave them the chance to learn interesting new things from life stories and to break potential stereotypes and prejudice about people belonging to different cultures, religions, social classes or ethnic groups.

The European Living Libraries are conceived with the goal to boost dialogue, break prejudice and promote European values among citizens from all around Europe through living library events. The next events within the projects will be held in Ljubljana and Belgrade so stay tuned and don’t miss them.

The project “European Living Library for Young Citizens” is co-funded by the Europe for Citizens Programme of the European Union.
