On April 13, 2021, focus group research was implemented in Belgrade within the project “Do (Not) Digitalize Me”. The main aim of this project is to open debate on the impact of digitalization on youth work and to help youth organizations around Europe to responsibly use digital tools and services. This project is implemented by the international network CONNECT International and the organization of the focus group event in Belgrade was supported by Libero, as one of its members.

The focus group was attended by young people and representatives of youth organizations who shared with us how digitalization has affected youth work  from their perspectives. The representatives of youth organizations presented their experiences with using digital tools and transferring their work online during the lockdown, while young people talked how digitization changed the way they can get active and take part in activities tailored for them. The findings of this focus group will become a part of the research conducted within this project which present a starting point for the discussion on the limits of youth work disgitalization.

The project “Do (Not) Digitalize Me” is supported by the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe.
