The first of two planned training seminars within the project “Exchange it – Towards Cooperation and Reconciliation” was implemented in Niš, Serbia, from August 31st till September 7th, 2020. The Training for Starters was attended by the representatives of youth organizations from countries involved in this project (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Serbia, Spain) . They had a chance to expand their knowledge on planning, organizing and implementing youth exchanges aimed at reconciliation and building trust in the conflict areas. The participants reevaluated their organization’s capacities for conducting youth exchanges. They also shared experience, networked and brainstormed new project ideas.

The Training for “Starters” in Niš was implemented strictly in accordance with the COVID19 prevention measures. In that way the health and safety of participants and staff was protected during the entire duration of the training.

The training for “Developers”, intended for organizations that already have experience in organizing youth exchanges but want to take their work to another level, will be implemented as soon as the epidemiological situation allows it.
