Seminar and event “Europeans – Beauty of Diversity” was held in Subotica, intercultural city in northern part of Serbia, from 07th till 13th June 2009. This project gathered 23 people from 10 countries from Eastern Europe who had an opportunity to discuss matters such as human rights, xenophobia, stereotypes, and models of European citizenship, intercultural learning and Living Library. They have learned about the institutions of Council of Europe regarding the protection of human rights. We have discussed the models of European citizenship, ways to fight xenophobia and ways to promote an intercultural dialogue in local communities.

Participants had a chance to experience their own stereotypes as they have been involved in event called Living library. They had also had a chance to learn how to organize a similar event in their own local communities. We believe that participants of this project are encouraged and enabled to carry out all the ideas we had come up to during this seven days and that they will.
